About The Artist Anne Rogers
Anne Rogers is a South Australian fiction author, a poet and children's picture
book author and illustrator. Over the years she has written many stories and
will continue to write many more.
Anne has been a 'Jack of all Trades' during her lifetime, working in the spinning
and weaving industries making Axminster carpets, bookbinding, electrical
fittings, plastic moldings and plant irrigation. She has diploma's in aesthetics,
nutrition and massage and worked in the Health Care profession.
Anne has a lifelong love of horses and cats. In England she competed in horse
trials at international level, show jumping and dressage with the horses she bred
and trained, only giving up due to a fall from one of her horses, when she injured
her back seriously.
She bred pedigree cats after coming to Australia only giving that up in order to
devote all her time to writing and illustrating her books.
Anne was born in Gloucestershire England in 1946. At the age of 5 her parents
immigrated to Sydney Australia. When she was 11 the family moved back to
Gloucestershire. In 1983 Anne returned to Australia to live in Adelaide, South
Australia. Later in 1997 she moved from the city to the peace of the countryside.
